Evening with ... Reunited Onstage: An Evening with Tyrone Henderson and Shari Pitifer
Tyrone went on to study at SUNY Stony Brook and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He lives in New York City and performs in plays in NYC and throughout the United States receiving many awards including Leon Rabin: Best Supporting Actor, Dallas Theatre Critics Award. A few of his credits include Belize in Angels in America, Othello in Othello, George in Raisin In The Sun, Laertes in Hamlet, Avery in The Piano Lesson, and Guy Matthews in Blues For An Alabama Sky opposite Phylicia Rashad. He was in the national tour of Bring in Da Noise-Bring in Da Funk. Tyrone has appeared on film and television in Law and Order, As the World Turns, All My Children, New York Undercover, The Beat, Ride For Your Life, and the soon-to-be-released film The Treatment. Shari graduated from Ithaca College with a BFA in acting and has been living and working in the New York City area as a professional singer/songwriter/actress and teacher/director. She started out in the NYC Cabaret Circuit performing much of her original material before recording it in 1998 under the title ShariLynn 11:11. The CD, which was produced by Rino Minette, became the inspiration for an independent film that started out with the same title. The film project has evolved over six years during which time she traveled to Los Angeles to shoot additional scenes with renowned music producer David Foster. It is now called Breakthrough and can be seen at the website http://Breakthroughthemovie.com. For the past 10 years Shari has been the lead singer in an international band, Panorama, performing regularly at The Copacabana, The Rainbow Room and Tavern on The Green in NYC. She has taught and directed childrenšs theater programs at North Jersey performing arts schools and has pioneered an integrative program in the NYC public school system combining musical theater and song writing with all the academic subjects. The program, called CAP, was the subject of a 60 Minutes special.
